Villa Emma is located just OUTSIDE of the Low Emission Zone of Ghent. If you still want to drive your car into the city center, check here if your car can enter. You will also find a link to register your car and possibly purchase a day pass:

There are road works in the area and for that reason the “Waterstraat” has temporarily become a one-way street for cars!! If you arrive from the center you can’t enter the “Waterstraat” anymore and you need to follow a detour (which is badly indicated !!). It is also a bit difficult at Dampoort railway station: see map on the right. The yellow line shows you how to drive to enter the city and the pink line when you come back from the city…
But it’s quite easy by bike: keep going straight into the city!
